This year at Equestra we're very lucky to have the inspiring Sally-Leigh Woods & Pav Nespresso showing everyone the beauty of dressage.
Leaving Australia in 1975 as a 15-yr old, Sally-Leigh spent 4 years in Europe training & competing in both dressage and showjumping. At 17 she competed at Royal Windsor in the dressage then the very next day won the National Ladies British Showjumping Championships, today she still holds the record as the youngest rider to win this prestigious award.
Since her return to Australia she has campaigned multiple dressage horses and been selected for 3 Olympic squads as an elite rider - a huge achievement! Now based back in WA she works full time as a coach and has trained many students up to International level.
Her motto is Dare to Dream and she aims for everyone to have fun & give it a go, working to create inspiration, develop dreams & nurture talent with a passion.
A German Riding Pony Stallion, Pav Nespresso demonstrates all the traits this breed is best known for. This year him & Sally-Leigh were awarded Advanced Pony State Dressage Champion and have started competing Prix St George, managing to place amongst the horses. He has a very exciting future ahead with so much talent and an excellent temperament that allows him to show off the beauty of dressage in front of the large crowd at Equestra!
